Dr.BOSE'S SAANS FOUNDATION IS NOW A BUTEYKO INTERNATIONAL BREATHING CLINIC- INDIA
Dr.BOSE, FELLOW(FBPI)
WHAT IS THE BUTEYKO METHOD?
Named after Dr Konstantin Buteyko, the Buteyko Method consists of a series of breathing exercises and guidelines specifically designed to reduce over-breathing (clinically known as ‘chronic hyperventilation’). The simple fact is that many people breathe too much, which alters the natural levels of gases in the blood, reduces oxygen delivery to tissues and organs, and causes constriction of the smooth muscles surrounding blood vessels and airways. This can lead to numerous health problems. Bringing breathing volume towards normal and making the switch from mouth to nose breathing helps to alleviate such health problems.
ABOUT US
“Working together to improve health through breathing re-education”
Buteyko Professionals International (BPI) is an international community of individuals who work as practitioners/educators or incorporate some aspects of the Buteyko Breathing Method into their main area of professional practice or have an academic and/or research interest in the Buteyko Breathing. As an international community with a shared interest in the Buteyko, BPI operates as an international non-profit organization.
When originally launched in August 2015, BPI was a relatively small international group of individuals who had completed practitioner/educator training in the Buteyko Breathing Method with Buteyko Clinic International. However, as a result of considerable interest from professionals who had successfully completed their training with other Buteyko training organizations, BPI opened its membership to such professionals.
BPI was formed primarily to promote sound knowledge and best practice in the application of the Buteyko breathing method to improve the health and wellness of the clients of BPI members. Members are requested to, and expected to, adhere to the BPI Code of Conduct and Ethics. BPI is committed to communication and collaboration between its members, and with other groups of professionals who share BPI’s goals. These goals are clearly stated in another section of this website.
The international membership of BPI includes specialist practitioners/educators, medical doctors, physiotherapists, dentists, orthodontists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, nurses, myofunctional therapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, psychologists, naturopaths, yoga practitioners, psychotherapists, speech and language pathologists, teachers, university faculty members, and researchers.
BPI is a truly international organization. Its members work in a total of 53 countries worldwide. In alphabetical order these countries are: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Channel Islands, Chile, Columbia, Croatia, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Latvia, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, United States, Wales, and Zimbabwe.
